Positioning Simmons Animal Nutrition for the Future

Milan, MO, (December 3, 2025) – Simmons Animal Nutrition, Inc. announced today plans to close its facility in Milan, Missouri, over the next 60 days. This decision is part of the company’s strategic efforts to strengthen its operations, enhance efficiency, and drive growth across the business. 

The closure affects approximately 155 team members working at the Milan location. Simmons is committed to providing comprehensive support packages to these team members, which will include retention pay and assistance in finding new employment opportunities.

As a company committed to putting people first, this was a difficult decision that we did not take lightly. We are grateful to our Milan team members and focused on supporting them in the coming weeks.”

Simmons Animal Nutrition operates multiple production facilities in the Midwest and Northeast, which will support the business going forward. Simmons will work with the community as it explores options for the sale of the Milan property following its closure next year.
